Oh! At first, I thought that this blog was lost for good, and now I find out that Euphemia still has the password! (Because this blog is created on her blogger account.)

I will probably still post, but very infrequently, and only for major events (I hope)! So, this blog is uh... in a coma? Semi-permanent death? But at least it's not completely dead. (:

Right now, my main blog is www.allsortsofbooks.blogspot.com which is basically a book review site (yes, I am that big of a bookworm). But I don't really have where else to post for other stuff, so it'll be here.

And I just realised that I DO have something to say. Cause I just finished the Singapore Academy of La (SAL) JC Law Programme (JCLP).

It's been a very interesting two weeks, although I have to admit, my favourite part was the job-shadowing, because of the wonderful mentors I have. Although.... Law school sounds fun, but I'm not sure whether I want to be a lawyer, all those long hours *shudder*

But at least there was one very funny moment today. During the student comments time, some guy (light brown uniform, so either HCI or some other JC), came up and basically yelled at the hall for being unprofessional, taking it lightly, etc. Everyone's reaction was O.O

After that, Collin goes up, and talks about how he's experience here taught him that lawyers should never lost their temper! HAHA. Everyone cheered for a long time. (:

I'm going to Japan TOMORROW!!! Finally, I can't wait. I'm almost done packing and I just have to jote down a few more things in my Black Book and I'm done. Nicky also lent me Three of her dad's books on Japan, which are really awesome. They are: Travellers' Tales Guide: Japan, true stories of life on the road (really good to see Japanese culure), Do's and Don'ts in Japan (funny) and Illustrated conversation book, Japan (haven't read it yet).

We celebrated Nicky's Birthday yesterday and it was fun. ^_^ HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY NICKY!!

Recently, my cousin told me that my family is one of the Four Big Families in church, (in a bid to get me to go to YF) and I confirmed it with my mom today. It would explain why most of my relatives are so familiar, cause I see them at church!

I'm bored, really really bored.

And I should be studying my music theory. But I just studied it and I don't think I can handle much more. I understand learning the Italian terms and stuff but why add French and German but not Japanese. I want to learn Jazz.

Japan Sabbatical is really really really soon ^_^. But I'm gonna miss Hong Kong Ma Ma's visit. -.-. I have to remember to remind Ah Si Yi Yi to remember to pass me the photo's of national day and my birthday, and Sheryl Lao Shi has to lend me Shopaholic in Manhattan. I'm getting bored. Maybe I'll study Japanese later.

And I have to give tuition to Mindy. That'll be fun. She can be really cheeky at times. I'm bored!!! And Euphe is watching Gong so bugging her is not a good idea. I'm just really lazy. That's why I like Tanjong Puteri house, I can go swimming, or bowling, or just watch DVD, or read. All do all that, I wonder if Felicia is there. Rachel wants to go there and go horse riding, me too. Gong Gong, Ma Ma and Gu Ma Ma came in with us one Sunday and left on Monday. Di Di misses the place.

Ooh, tomorrow's the last day of school. My class is having a haunted house and everyone is helping out. It's going to be so much fun. But Euphemia says she's going to skip school. I just hope I have enough time to go and buy some nice books.

HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY ALEX! (Her Birthday was on Monday.)

On Sunday, Michelle, Becka and Nicki threw me a surprise birthday party and Michelle's place. It was really fun and we were playing the bunny game on the wii. But the next day my arms were really sore from constantly shaking the remote. I think I'm still in shock and so happy. The presents were so awesome and the food was good. (Michelle made the food herself, even the chocolate cake).

We had our Japanese lesson and me and Becka found out that we know most of what he was saying. It was fun though. Only slightly more that a week before sabbaticals.

My Grade 5 theory is next Sat so I will be cramming over the next week in Malaysia. Aunty Florence says that My passage based is quite good but I have to work on my intervals. haha. I'm so bad at intervals that I can get 0/10.

Report card came back yesterday and I only have 2A's -sigh-. But the remarks were nice. I still can't believe the teachers are telling us that we have to mug, yes mug not study, the whole holidays. All cause we have to get good results for Sec 4. Pish Posh. Too much stress is bad. And holidays are supposed to mean no school/studying. I have a ton of holiday homework, but I finished some at school.

My exams are (were) over since last Friday and technically I should have alot of spare time to blog or stuff, but unfortunately this isn't so. Although we have a temporary laptop now, and a tempremental com, I'm either too busy or too lazy to blog.

I've been going through my papers for the last 3 day, and amazingly, I got A's for Bio and Physics. This is so amazing, cause I thought I was a goner for those subjects. And Chinese, yeah, I mangaged to score a decent A2 (barely).

But the school is so irratating, I think they forgot what the word Holiday means. We've been told by almost every subject teacher to spend the December holidays studying that subject. wow. I can spend the whole holiday solely studying about a few subjects. I didn't think that was possible. But Lao Shi took the time to explain the importance and reasons behind each homework so I can understand why she gave it to us. But its irritating when people go "here, you guys did badly, do the TYS for the whole holiday or next year O levels you will do badly." I mean they said alot more but that's what I heard. And here we have the whole study-isn't-important-must-also-learn-beyond-the-classroom thing. I want to tell the school it's impossible to learn beyond the classroom if all they tell us to do is the TYS. It's like that comic by Iskanda, which shows a father saying "You want to play outside? Okay, I don't want to put too much pressure on you about studying. If you rather play then fail this test, you'll end up poor and homeless. But, it's your choice".

Now, the "Rainbow carnival" is coming up and my class'es proposal for a haunted house was appoved. They actually made the anouncement "Congradualations to 3E for the approval of their proposak" or something like that. And since I also promised to help Marsila sell textbooks I guess I'm pretty much booked for that day, hope I can still go and buy some books.

Currently listening to Pimsleur Japanese on Youtube. It's useful for learning prounciation and some basic words. And learn how to have a mini convo, and say you don't know japanese. I kept reading about ho1w good the series was so I bought Rachel the Korean set for her Birthday (Happy Birthday!) She got me a Fondue set ^_^.

I just realised I reached 50 posts yesterday.............. never thought I would make it this long. ^_^

Anyways, this week has been super eventful, first, my lil' sis broke her arm in gym *ouch* and next I had breathing difficulties which apparently cannot be diagnosed or cured. It's really uncomfortable and It's chronic, which means that it may or may not go away. I'm so hoping that it goes away before the sabbats, but I've already told my friends what to do. And to make it worse, ALL the teachers know about it, yes ALL of them!! Even the General Office people.

On the bright(er) side, I now know slightly more about the how breathing works, and SooF was wrong. Lack of carbon dioxide does not cause your brain to stop breathing, the breathlessness is cause by lack of calcium. Ok, this is too much bio.

Japan Sabbats are starting to ask for money, I'm hoping the Jenesys people will subsidies us bout $1000, that way I can cut down one third of the fare. Which means more spending money, or if I wanna go to Israel with the church next year, it helps alot.

My sis, has finally started reading (maybe out of boredom from having a hand in a cast). We've been going through the Melody Carlson True Colours series which is awesome. I'm one book away from finishing what Singapore has so far (I think) while Fifi still has some more to finish (Mada Mada Dane!!). But you should seriously go check it out. My favourite is "Fool's Gold" which is about money and which I will buy at SKS next time.

Went to hospital twice this week for not being able to breathe. Ended up seeing a neurologist. Hate not breathing, and like going numb and stiff all over. Quite scary.

On a positive note, my Japanese is improving, like I can start to understand and form simple sentences. ^_^

Yesterday was National Day. And once again I spent it at the Mandarin Oriental. Love the hotel, the bed is way comfy, I came in and started jumping on the bed. ^_^

And I read Crime and Punishment. It's nice but a little confusing at times.

I took lots of pictures this year, but first I have to get it from Ah See Yi Yi. And that's hoping that she doesn't delete all my "candid" shots. Han Qing came over so I was playing with his PSP and now I want one too!!!!!! my (materialistic) wishlist is now growing and growing.

I'll be going to the Tepanyaki Restaurant (near Jurong Bird Park) later to celebrate my Grade 5 pass. Although it was a very close shave.

Hopefully tomorrow I can go to Vivo and have breakfast before picking didi up from school. And in the afternoon/ tonight, study for Bio and History (2 tests in a row!!)

I just have to post today. Cause it's the 8/8/08! Such a cool no. and the start of the Beijing Olympics.

Today was national day celebration and it was way better than the one 2 years ago (They made us debate about the PAP). Then again. my friends organised it. ^_^ Ah See Yi Yi rented a room at a hotel again to watch NDP. I hafta remember to bring a camera to take pictures, and hopefully there's a computer there (Just like last year!).

Too bad there's still tuition tomorrow.

Recently Chui sent me this email bout how scientist found a "missing day" from the Bible, which is totally untrue and impossible to find out. I mean, you have to have a definite known starting time and computers are definitely not advanced enough. For me, I think this link is useful to tell you what arguments NOT to use.

And as usual, we had another talk on abortion. Agnes is such a hoot, and Ms Tan is awesome. I mean the video was clearly not effective but Ms Tan's talk scared Agnes into being anti-abortion. It's just awful what they're doing to the babies. It's been shown that the baby is a separate individual which means its tantamount to murder. And what's the logic in prosecution a baby killer but legalising abortion???

Look at this comparision (From CMI):

"Just assume for the sake of the argument that it is a real human baby and that intentional killing of innocent humans is wrong. Then it would follow that no amount of psychological trauma for a pregnant woman would justify taking an innocent life, especially in the horrifying ways that this life is taken—which no animal-rights activist would tolerate even for a laboratory rat. So we respond: ‘You have no right to be so judgmental of our euthanasia and abortion section when you haven’t been through the horrific experience that millions of unborn babies suffer every year.’

YAY!! It's confirmed I passed Grade 5 Piano by 9 marks, I'm really so lucky. ^_^

And I got a job!!! YEAH! $50 a week! My Japan sabbats got extended so I'll need all the money I can earn/save/get. Good thing my school work isn't suffering, but i'm getting woried for Chem, never was good at Mole Concept.

Read A book on being a Laywer, I'm gonna have to work so hard. Gotta Brace Myself.

On a random note, I REALLY REALLY don't want to go for our school's ND concert Full dress. I'm not doing anything and I have to reschedule everything.

Oh well, that's life I guess. And I'm still trying to convince my dad to let me buy another book from Amazon. Dad I know you read this, so please?

I'm sick AGAIN!!!! ARGH!!!

And getting absent minded, nearly burnt down house last night.(forgot to turn off the stove), kinda like Jirou(from PoT), (which my friends *geriandagnes* say I'm like) or Hotauru (From SDK).

RYC (Regional Youth Conference) was fun. I was in Ireland and our music video was in the top 8 (out of 25). And the Amazing Race was fun too!!

-sigh- It's horrible being sick, and I have to take some kind of medcine for blood circulation and I'm supposed to eat more (everyone tells me that, from my Grandma to the maid to Charlotte!!)

Anyway, gotta go study Physics.School is ~evil~ cause they keep assigning tests and tests and more TESTS!!!

P.S Update, Rae didn't get to SOTA and I hope she isn't too down bout it. At least we can go to Japan together. ^_^ (Gotta start finding a way to transfer her into my group)

haha, long time no blog.

lets see, i've been busy helping out in school stuff, that was fun, specially dance night. But I never figured out what DSM means, anyone knows? lets see, ALOUD was good, and Shanice, Sandra, Alyssa, Claudia, Grace, Lee Khim, Caris, Sam etc got into finals. So i gotta go and search for congrats gifts.

Did the Grade 5 piano, and it's confirmed. I can't sing. Was so of key the examiner had to correct like every note. X.X

Gonna be really busy this month. And I basically lost alot of will to blog, due to many activities and studying, yes the STUDYING!! the admin people are trying to kill us by giving us so many tests.

Oh yes, Rae is trying to get into SOTA (School Of The Arts for those who don't know) it's really fun, according to friends so I hope she gets in.

Ok, What literary device do you think of when you see a tree?

The answer is "irony".

Today we were playing pictionary and one of the categories was literary devices. So as a code we decided that "pun" would be a "pan", and so on and so forth. One of the ones we managed to remember to code was "irony", which in our case means a guy who misses banging into a tree but hits the lampost.

So when Sam drew the tree, everyone was going "huh?" then I yelled "irony" and started laughing with Geri cause it meant we made 1mil points, and answered within record time. But the real irony is that we didn't want to win and wanted to lose, and an even bigger irony was that we didn't win.

YAY!!!! The com is finally back! Although I threw a fit when I found out all my info was gone, just like the spoilt little "princess" I am.

Lets see........

Concert at Esplanade.... Almost got lost.... Must get people to send me the photos (the camera died on me)...... MS KON was singing (Which is probably why they picked that concert)...... and me being me arrived with three library books ( cause I "deposited" 5 others with fifi) Since I came from the library.

Going Library again, since I don't need to go for OBS (YES!!!) I have so much spare time.

Um......... Charlotte and I are baking cakes/cupcakes for VBC people........ I still don't know how to get it to them thought. Oh, and since we changed the seating arrangement Charlotte and I are now sitting together.

Let me think........................ Oh and Charlotte wanted to start a Scholastics club as a CCA BUT, since it's near impossible I persuaded her to start a website instead. And We will be posting on smart stuff, like Charlotte is posting on Math, Science and a bit of Philo, I'll be doing Language, Culture (like generally and lit, hist. etc), some philo etc.

Hi! I haven't updated for so long cause I have no mood to blog.

Anyway, I did my 2.4 on Fri and Thank God I managed to pass. -Ugh- I can't stand PFT, it always makes me feel sick, as in nauseous and migraine and dizziness. Good thing I have Awesome Classmates who always make sure I'm fine.

Good news! Ichiban managed to make it to the VBC semifinals. I don't think I mentioned it before but its basically a business challenge and somehow my team and I managed to earn enough money to make it to the semifinals. So in my class we have team Ichiban (which is no. 1 in Jap) and Consonence, which is my friend Agnes's group, although I think she's the only one putting in effort, with help from the class of course. More updates later.

My class has finally decorated our classroom. We had 3 bags of toys lying around from the P1 picnic so we decided to place them in the windows. And with all the stuff toys, there comes a mascot. Actually, we have 2 mascots, both are homesick camels from Egypt. They used to belong to Dora ( The Explora!!!) and so they and they're annoying little tune have become (in)famous amoung the teachers. The "tune" is somehow our class theme song (I think!).

And I've saved the best news for last! I'm definitely going to Japan for my sabbaticals. The results came out last Friday and I was so happy that I started screaming!!! Rachel and I have already made plans for Chaos (they involve getting lost and annoying people) and Nana promised she won't interfere too much! Looks like my dad is right, he said "I pity the Japanese with you and Rachel there". But seriously, I don't think we'll do anything serious (at least not too the point of serious trouble).

Happy April Fools day!!! I'm gonna highlight the best jokes that I remembered:

MGS:
- 3E and 3O switched classes. It was a blast!! We ended up having A Math together in 3O.
- We (3E) turned all our tables backwards. I finally got to seat in the back!!!
- Some people from class put sand/salt in other peoples bottle (good thing it didn't happen to me). This might be pushing it a bit too far...
- A girl from 2O misled the poor girls twice and made them climb 4 flights of stairs twice. This is weird. April Fools is for the teachers. That girl must have made alot of enemies.
- Some primary girls threw done balloons and an empty garbage bag.

ACS(I):
- Halfway through our National Anthem, it stopped and "the lion king" theme song (the one with the sun rising and they go "AAAA Shumabaa.. dadadi dadadada") anyway, the theory is that the teachers did this cause the principal wasn't angry at all.

It's really fun to have school like that!

On a random note, we (me, Charlotte, Juhi,Geri ) registered ourselves for the VBC (Virtual Business Challenge). Our Team name is "Ichiban" Thanks to Rachel who helped me confirm its meaning. (But her blog disappeared) The other name we were going to choose was "the Yak". Its an inside joke but you should know why from the last post.

went for the NUS competition on Thurs. Lost TERRIBLY, we had 2 points and hwa chong high and hwa chong jc had what? 10-12 ponts!! Turns out we mugged the wrong thing. We (me Charlotte, Juhi and Geri) had to stay back til 9-nish cos Charlotte went MIA at first; so we switched places and did the second shift. Even tho we ALL mugged the wrong thing and didn't score so high,(our highest score is 6 points)we actually want to do it again next year (if we can). All of us and some more from class. We also want to do VJ's competition and we're all excited about more mugging! 3E rocks! And we, (me Charlotte,Geri and Juhi) now love the Tibetion Yak!!! It gave us our 2 ponts!!! And the competition was fun. We travelled to Jurong Regional Library to mug and came up with 2 crazy plans to win. Get (me) om a sugar high so I end up "cackling/giggling" (in Juhi's words, I say I'm just trying not to laugh out loud) and scare our opponents and also use the sugar high to get all the buzzer questions. Too bad it wore off just before we started the competition. (not enought nerds to eat)

Made chocolate fudge for luchbox day. Thank God it turned out ok and everyone liked it. I'm just sorry that: a. I didn't save one for Mrs Choo cause she bought us muchy donuts and strawberry cheesecake even though we didn't win the competition. and B. I didn't bring copies of the recipe to school cause some people were asking for it. But I posted it here some time in January/Febuary.

On another random note, my Malay is getting better. I can understand and create simple sentences. AND, Cikgu is also my relief Bio teacher. Too bad I have to miss Malay AGAIN, for the Compre exam. I'm cramming in Katakana and learning more Japanese vocab (its easier now I know hiragana).

While we were mugging for the competition (which we all did very seriously, I mean we (Juhi, me and Geri) memorised as much as possible if not all the capitals, presidents and prime ministers except Russia and Turkey coz we forgot that was Asia. And I learned all about the literature and let me tell you, ONE Chinese book can have as many as FIVE tittles. And Charlotte took to memorising statistics.... but I digress)

I remembered about the case of Linda Joy(while doing Malaysian Social Science). What I'm about to say may offend some people so this is a disclaimer: This is my personal opinions so don't arrest me or sue me. I think Linda Joy should have been allowed to apostatize. This is because of a few simple violations:
1. People should be allowed to choose their own religion, if they want to convert, let them or they'll still be unbelievers anyway.
2. It would show everyone that Malaysia allows religious freedom. All those cases lately (e.g banning the Bible in malay, argueing over the corpse, conversion of children who don't understand the implications without both parents consent, (I noticed this happens only with couples on bad terms/divorced/getting divorced. So its probably revenge)) is kinda bad for Malaysia. Now, I love Malaysia and the Language and I stay there every holiday so again, these opinions are personal and not meant to offend.

Talking about Malaysia reminds me that my Bro/Adik lelaki already misses Tanjong Puteri. It's really sweet and it gets him to behave. My logic on why he likes it better than Singapore and is willing to give up his beloved to "stay here forever" is because the house is a bungalow, not a small, tiny HDB. I know a maisonette is considered big I feel its small and the there's more kampung spirit in a bungalow estate. I mean we had and still have an open invitation to our neighbours house/pool any time we want. If Mely is reading this, "thanks and I really want to visit soon!" . Here, everyone is friendly but its still not like "old times". I just know didi tan would love 107E. -sigh- -feeling homesick, again-

By the way, the Bloody Mary Episode is haunting me at midnight. It gets annoying cause I rush out of the bathroom half asleep and end up waking up and not being able to sleep again (This goes back to my Insomia Incident in P6/Sec1 when I was ordered (by the doc) to take a nap every afternonn.... which means I didn't do much) Maybe if I study hard enough/read more books (like the Miyuke Miyabe I borrowed, couldn't get Louise Penny this time) I can forget it. Hmm, now thats an idea...

Fell sick again. =.= This time it's non-stop vomiting. Stupid immune system.This year I must have missed ten? days of school. -sigh- and I'm gonna miss my report card too!!!! I need to know my marks!!!!

We (me, Jan, Joey and Angie) were talking yesterday and somehow ended up talking 'bout our sweet sixteens. Angie wants to celebrate hers on the Singapore Eye!! I think she was changing ideas to a road trip to Genting!! Jan and Joey were scolding me 'bout encouraging her. LOL. I just want to know if I throw a party, will anyone come? My bday is so near exams. In P6, no one (save for like 10 ppl) came, so sad.

I feel random again. Spent the morning learning Jap (the two lettered hiragana combi) and watching Bleach. Crunchyroll had to remove so many Bleach ep. and youtube is sooo hard to watch.

Don wanna go OBS. REALLY DON WANNA GO!!! I think I'll get serious migraines again, like in Sec 2! Everyone says "mind over matter" but I tried that and see how sec 2 camp turned out. And this year the sec 2's get to stay in a nice hotel. lucky buggers.

Wow! I've been posting alot lately. Guess cause it's because I have more time.

Guess what! I actually cut my hair all the way to shoulder length! I was at the hairdresser's on Sunday and I decided to just cut my hair from the middle of my back to just below the shoulders. I'm enjoying my new hair length and it's great that people actually noticed that it's been cut and they think it's better than my new hair! I think I'll let it grow out till I get another urge to cut my hair

I was really excited about the holidays till I saw the amount of homework we have. The teachers are sadists, almost all of them are; in fact I think the whole school/society/world/meritocratic mindset is cruel. Please! Holidays are for me/us to have fun! Just because you're bored doesn't mean you should inflict punishment on us!!

Then, to make things worse, we have our progress reports (AKA CA1's). So far, I've been doing ok, mostly A's except for 2 subjects but honestly, why should we get our report for term 1 only in term 2. It's ridiculous! How am I suppose to use the one week to persuade my dad to buy a reward for me if there's nothing to show him how well I did. Oh well, no use complaining. But I got sooo annoyed today. Ms Tan didn't enter our English marks correctly. I think nearly the whole class got lower than they should. I got pulled down from a B3 to a B4!!!( because I 'lost' 3 marks) But since she says she'll add it (the marks) to us in term 3 progress report I guess it fair compensation. I've been mugging during recess lately, trying to get a head start on the holiday homework.

To top it all off (bad things do come in threes). We have our cross country tomorrow. Some people like Janelle and Euphemia are so sporty they're looking forward to it. But I really really really HATE running, it makes me feel all dizzy and nauseas. With all the bad things this week, no wonder I feel sick. But normally it's just migraines, now I feel dizzy and nauseas for no good reason. what joy (can you sense the sarcasm?)

With the hol's drawing near, (today's the last school, school day for us ) I really miss Tanjong Puteri. I miss sleeping till 11 in a dark room (it's so bright and noisy in a HDB, yesterday some siow person went to put some alarm thing at 2 in the morning). I miss staying in a bungalow and swimming everyday. I miss the food, especially the seafood.Even is this stay is really short (we're going only for 4D3N) My bro and I are really excited. My bro is so kawaii, he told me he want's to live in Tanjong Puteri; when I asked him about school (cuz he loves his school), he went "I can go to my new school" with this really cute angmoh/chinese tone (due to the television). If we ever have a out-of-Singapore class party, (and why not? We're 15 this year) we really should have it there.

Now i'm gonna be very guai and start the homework so i don't have to do it in Tanjong Puteri. And prepare myself mentally for cross-country. If you hear of someone fainting /stopping/ vomiting half way there's a good chance its me. Maybe I should just bring medicine. Ok, rambling again. Lately, I've been reading 2 new manga: Crimson Hero and Wild ones.

Crimson Hero is basically a volleyball manga(i.e sports manga) The storyline is basic: Nobara Sumiyoshi (the heroine) wants to play volleyball. But her mom wants her to take over their stuffy traditional restaurant called Seiryuu. Since she disagreed with her mom, she ran out of the house and ended up being a dorm mother to 4 bishies on the volleyball team. Apart from all the things about trying to rebuild the volleyball team, there's this really interesting love triangle. Habuki (one of the boys) had a crush on her since young. But, she ended up liking Yuushin (another boy from volleyball) who is more interested in volleyball than her. The story is hilarious and the characters are realistic. You can read it here.

Wild ones is a Yakuza manga. If you didn't know, Yakuza are the Japanese form of mafia. one day, newly orphaned Sachie finds out that she is the grandaughter of a yakuza chief. She has to go and stay with him and meets Rakuto Igarashi, this cute boy who is in the yakuza. They (he) lied and claimed that Sachie was a princess because she was Igarashi's princess. It's a series of comical events and now that they added a new character (Azuma) who likes Sachie, things are getting even funnier. Read it here

If you don't like manga, try reading Miyuke Miyabe's books. They're really nice (mostly murder mysteries). I just finished "all she was worth" about how in mordern Japan, consumer goods are "literally to die for"

OMGosh!!! I'll write a longer post tomorrow but I just want people to know 2 things. I was looking through the previous posts when I saw the one about A Maths and Physics. Well...... I scored 18/25 for Physics, allowing me to get and A2 for PR1 BUT, I failed physics, turns out that I missed one whole page and lost 4 marks. I didn't even have time to check. Amazingly, I managed to pass physics.

L is my new fav. person. Went to watch L change the world yesterday and loved the whole movie. I didn't quite get it at first but then everything makes sense. I love how L is portrayed, he's so cute!!!.

Basic storyline (includes spoilers):
After Watari died, L just kept doing work till a nameless boy, sent by F came. He was the only one unaffected by a deadly virus that killed an entire village. Meanwhile, a Prof. finds that the bacteria has mutated and news to create a new antidote. Just when he creates it, his lab partner betrays him and kills him. Maki-chan, he's daughter saw the whole thing and followed her fathers instructions and eventually found L. L had to find an antidote and eventually saved a whole planeful of passengers including the bad person who was actually K. I like the fact that L was racing against time to save the day before he died. The last thing we saw him do was give the nameless boy the name "near" so he would be near every time someone was saved, then he walked of. The movie was really touching.

I'm writing a really short review cuz I wanna get back to watching "Bleach". But you really should watch this movie, L is so cute in it. (unofficially a fan-girl)

Here's a quick post. Just did A maths test today and am really worried about it. I need prayers about it and for my Physics exam tomorrow, it counts for a big part of my grade.I really hope I won't blank out in the middle of it- everyone says its really tough (worried/hyper anxiety going on)

On the bright side, I'll be watching "L, change the world" tomorrow. I'm really looking forward to it. I'll be going with my cousin and sister, (even if it isn't really her type of movie). I'll probably do a quick review as well as introduce some good manga next time (when I'm free).

Oh, and a quick note, I personally think that Hitler's EVIL!! My friend respects him but I'm trying my best to change her mind and she's trying to change mine. I think I mentioned that Hitler openly exploited the church and nearly exterminated a race of people because of his evolutionary ideas. Stupid person, stupid people who think religion is bad and evolution is good.

Ok, my brain is jumping from topic to topic, not good. I need to focus on my exam. Maybe I can do the 4R's from golf, then next week I can finally give the teacher an example of Golf in real life. They say bad things (or is it good things?) come in 3's. Well, I sprained my back (and don't even know how I did that) and caught gastric flu (it's currently an epidemic). I don't even want to guess what the third bad luck will be. Maybe it's all the food restrictions. No chocolate, dairy products i.e cheese, nothing fried or oily (so no fries or nuggets) and my grandma won't let me eat egg because one of our relatives ate an egg and collapsed.

I need to get well. The only silver lining in this is that I can't do any physical exercise, which means NO PE!! Yay!

Hi! I really shouldn't be posting now but this is my only free time and I wanted to get this down.

On Sat, the P1 picnic finally started and finished. It's such a relief not to have to decorate the bamboo courtyard anymore. Only now i have a fear of popping balloons, i never knew balloons could burst just from wind. -.- The P1's were quite un-enthu at first but they got enthu later, maybe at first they're mind was still sleeping, like me! Waking up at 6.50 on a Sat is bad for you. Whenever they saw me they'll go "look! spiderman!" even though i'm obviously a GIRL!! But is was fun being the 'monster' and playing with them.

During the picnic I was passing round the chocolate fudge I made, I was soo happy everyone liked it. my one regret is that I can't bring it to school for my friends again, it melts (and there's no way i'm bringing an ice-box on a school day). Sigh, maybe next time. Gail wanted the recipe so here it is:

125g cooking chocolate,
125g vegetable shortening,
2 tablespoons cocoa,
1/2 tablespoon vanilla essence,
210g of condense milk.
just melt the shortening and chocolate together then mix in all the ingredients and pour into a pan and put it in the fridge/freezer.

That's all.

P.S: anyone have any good war photo's, I need to make a enlistment poster for Hist. tomorrow. Go to go study/piano the whole week. There are 5 tests (one of them is ting xie but still need to study). BYE BYE!

Hey!

WOW! Christmas is tomorrow and school starts soon after. This is soooo bittersweet, I haven't gotten ready for school at all. I'll have to buy my textbooks soon.

Recently, I went Christmas shopping at Taka with my aunt. And I can't believe a PEN from Mont Blanc can cost $730!!! and flip flops can cost $640!! This is waaayyy expensive. My family and cousins went to KL and I got my Christmas prezzies. I bought myself a book and my dad bought me "the mammoth book of best new manga"

There's gonna be carolling later today and it's gonna be sooo fun. Normally the carolers come at 11+p.m and stay till Christmas. I already helped my cousins bake brownies for them and I bet they'll be delish!

I met up with some cousins that I haven't seen for a long while at my maternal grandma's bday party. We decided to sit at the same table, and did some catching up. Some were in New Zealand and I just didn't see some for a super long time. So I found out that Joanna, which I knew liked manga, also like Dong Bang Shin Ki!!! I was soooo happy to find someone in my family who also liked DBSK. Now we are planning on ways to meet/get to her house to see all her Dong Bang things.

Youth night is over. We drove in all the way from KL to attend but my sister didn't get to participate in her team's play, way sad. I came in as an extra or callafla (sp?) but it was still so much fun. And we won for our version of Noah!!

Anyway, I gotta go and take care of my little bro. Merry Christmas minna-san and remember, it's not about the prezzies, its about Jesus!

2) ME BEING SICK (again)
This time, I fell sick during LTC (Leadership traing camp). There are 3 theories to why I'm sick:
a) I'm seriously anaemic. Apparently a blood count of 8.4 is too low when normal people are like 11-12. It should have risen since the last time though. The Doc wants me to take some tests.
b) It's because I'm shortsighted. Dunno what this has to do with headache and nausea but I guess my parents don't want me to take more tests.
c) Its because of my migraine which I think is caused by stress and sec 2 camps and maybe OBS

3) RESULTS
Can you believe that I'm applicable for nine subjects. I'm STILL in a state of shock

4) HOLIDAYS
I'm finally spending some time in malaysia away from noisy neighbour renovations. Upside: Its dark, I still have cable, swimming,bowling,DVD, horseriding and good food. Down side: NO COMPUTER!! I have to spend RM10 for a measly half hour on a com that lags. At least I'm starting to learn Japanese.

I finally tried out the New Zealand stall. The vanilla ice-cream is out of this world!!! It's really creamy and not too hard. The flavor is unusual, and tastes like candy. I'd advise you to buy the pint ($9.80), it's more worth it than the scoop which is like $3+ . I also tried the Salt and Vinegar chips($5.50). It's nice but make sure its not gonna expire. I bought one which was due to expire in 3 months so it had a plastic bag taste.

I've been helping in the Primary fellowship camp for the past 3 days. It's my second year and its sooo fun. I had my last year teammates come up to me and say they wished they were in my group. The P1's and 2's are really cute. They come up to me every morning to listen to high school musical on my MP4.

My group came in 3rd place which is a huge surprise to Aud and I. We didn't expect to place at all. Our team was really naughty due to the influence of this annoying P5 girl. My "reward" for helping out is a cross-shaped key chain and CIP hours. I think most of the girls like the hours better.

I came home early today( Camp ends at 4), because I had an awful sore throat and a really slight headache. So I'm writing this while I still have time. We set off to Malaysia once mom and sis comes home (and come back tomorrow nite). I'm going to help in the church outing to Mcritchie resevior on Sat. I'll tell you 'bout it if I'm not too tired.

Hi! Today's the last day of school but I'm not there. LOL. I've been having headaches the past few days and I decided not to got to school today.

I went for a fine dining course recently. Yummy food and such. Rae took pictures so if she sends some to me I'll post it up.

School carnival. Didn't win the coveted HSM2 soundtrack but thats ok. Cassie lent it to me. I spent majority of the funfair watching Howl's moving castle at the library. I guess I just have high expectations. Going through papers is so boring. The only time it was funny was when Mrs Chong was going through the Geog paper. She told us about how to deal with flashers and her own experience.

I'm gonna have to choose my subject combi soon. REALLY dun want to.

Woots! The exams are finally over!
I can finally relax. I borrowed 8 books and thats just the beginning. But I won't talk about books. (I think alot of peeps are breathing a sigh of relief and going " at least it won't be about books".
I am gonna watch my animes and read and do music. Maybe go in to Malaysia, and make chocolate chip cookies.

First, Ms Kon (our principal) is retiring. I never thought the day would come. Hmm... I wonder if the new principal is willing to lower the school fees and cut back on the vice-principals; why on earth do we need 6 ?!!

Second, my new anime, its called saiunkoku monogatari. In english, its called colourcloud palace. Its about a lady called Shuurei, her family is top ranking but unfortunately, shes really poor. She is enlisted to be the emporer's consort and make him a good king. So she takes the offer for the money (she's rather money minded) and the king falls in love with her. But she isn't a typical anime character, she's extremely likable. She's been compared to a nagging mother. sorry I haven't updated for so long. I've been studying alot lately and I'm sick with red eyes. I look like Kirihara Akaya from Prince of Tennis in his freaky mode. I'm taking a break to put a short post. My whole family is down with red eyes and we can't go anywhere. My dad wallet is suffering. so far my(just me) medical bill are already close to $200 and I still have a follow up. Thats coz I go to Mt E hospital.

The Japanese restaurant oppposite my house called "Megumi Japanese restaurant" is really good. The deep fried vanilla ice-cream is no. 1. Its not oily at all, kinda like tempura. I heard that the New Zealand shop near there is good too. The ice-cream has been sold out. Its sounds good. Vanilla ice-cream with crunchy toffee bits. My Aunt who moved to New Zealand also said that its good.

Cambodia

Hi!! Just got back from my Cambodia trip last night. The trip was really wonderful, we went to 2 high schools in 2 days and 1 orphanage.My first impression was of the large gap between the really rich and the poor.

The main mode of transportation seems to be the motorcycle and I didn't really see a public transport system. They use motorcycles for everything, high schools students use them to get to and fro from school, people use them to transport whole families and even pull a cart.

We spent our time on the bus telling riddles like " around the world in 80 days, I'm going to..." "I can bring..... to the tea party" and telling alot of corn jokes. In fact, they were so corny the word 'corn' was banned and the teachers threatened to CORNfiscate our money if we used the word 'corn'.

We visited Central market and Russian market as a tourist attraction, it was stuffy and lots of shops sold Buddhist things but you can find some good buys. I bought all my souvenirs there. I learnt that I can't shop alone, I SUCK at bargaining, and I almost gave the beggars money. The beggars there are really pitiful, there are children with bloated stomachs from malnutrition, people without limbs/hands because of the Cambodian civil war and mothers with babies.

We went to the royal palace and everything was so Buddhist influenced (actually, everything in Cambodia is Buddhist influenced). People went there to pray. Part of the palace is open because the king needs to make money as he is just a figure head.

We also went to Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum. It was fascinating but what I learnt about the Khmer Rouge Regime MADE ME SICK, THOSE PEOPLE ARE SICKOS!!! They killed about a fourth Cambodias population, murdering educated people in a bid to 'cleanse' the country of Western influences and murdered lots of innocent people, including children. They had child concentration camps and camps to train child soldiers. They killed babies by either throwing them in the air and bayoneting them or bashing their heads against the trees. I bought a book tittled "First they killed my father; a daughter of Cambodia remembers" which detailed everything.

Now that you know a bit about Cambodia's history, let me tell you about the people. Inspite of everything, they are very optimistic and friendly. The children are eager to learn and improve ourselves. Even though they were much older than us, they are 16-19, they are very polite and grateful for our help. We taught them spelling and touch typing. However, the people at the orphanage were cheeky,(at least my group was). When they found out my age, they kept teasing me by calling me "younger teacher" and going " you stay(Eusta).... in Cambodia". However, they can't really spell, e.g. they spelt xylophone as 'sighlerfone' so when they were teasing me I went "yeah I'm younger, but I still spell better than you" or something like that. I finally found the use of a loud voice, in an enclosed area where everyone is noisy, its useful to have a loud voice. We were working in an old chapel and we had to close the doors because it was raining heavily. The orphanage used to be really grand but now it looks rundown.

The trip seems to have gone by really quickly, we were all going "the trips over so soon, Cambodia's really close to my heart now." Mrs Tan prayed for the people of Cambodia that they can move forward as they are trying to get rid of corruption and move forward. Our tour guide mentioned that the people of Cambodia WANTS to move forward but CAN'T move forward. So we have to help them either by giving them physical(tangible) help or by praying for them.

I've been sick recently. Thats probably cause my immune system is reeaally weak and I suffer from migraines too.

On Sat, I woke up at 6 in the morning to go golf competition. Didn't win anything but it was kinda fun. There were so little MG girls (bout 8 of us), we weren't allowed to do the life skills quiz, (cause we won all the prizes last time) so we only competed in course, longest drive and nearest to pin. I'm really glad to say that we won 4 or 5 prizes, which were mainly second and third place.

Then, I read this article about how Singapore should legalise Euthanasia, (which is known as mercy Killing, isn't that an oxymoron?) so i got really mad and wrote something refuting it and sent it Today newspaper. I'm gonna wait and see what happens.

I'm beyond excited about the Cambodia trip, I'll leave on Sunday morning, which means I have to wake up at 5 so i can reach the airport at 6:30. We will have internet access in Cambodia so I'll try to post or I'll take lots of pictures and publish them when I come back.

No school for 2 days..... that sounds good right, but you actually have more stuff to do. If I didn't get to sleep in, I'll say E-learning is worse than school. We had to watch a CHINESE program as part of our assignment. At first I thought "ok lah, not so bad" then I watched the show. My brain turned to mush because of 3 reasons: 1. No subtitles, English or Chinese
2. They talk super fast
3. The topic is cheem (its about CPF)
I took down so many notes (in English), and i was asking my mom what they were saying every other sentence.

I finished another thick, Russian book this week. It's by Fyodor Dostoevsky (how on earth do you pronounce that(?) and its called ' The Brothers Karamazov' It's even more cheem than 'Anna Karenina' but not as thick. The story is about this family called Karamazov and how dysfunctional they are. In the end, the illegitimate son killed the father and framed the second son then committed suicide the day before the trial. The oldest son(who's an atheist) went crazy. And the second son ran away to America with the women that his father loved help from his brothers and ex-fiance. The youngest son buried his friend.

These Russian novels are REALLY like those channel 8/U series. Anna Karenina is about a lady who cheats on her husband with her the love of her friends life. Her friend(called kitty) earlier on rejected another guy's(levin) proposal but in the end married him. And the drama goes on and on.

I must be boring you to death if you hated books. Look on the bright side, at least you know a bit bought two famous(classic) novels without having to read them

People who are in my class should know that recently we saw this show about abortion which I think scarred me. Ack, looking at the poor dead babies makes me feel so sad.

Most of you know that I am super creationist. ( I keep asking you to read this and that) so i went to one of the best websites, which has a page on abortion and Euthanasia. If you don't know, Euthanasia is the legal killing. Like the doctor can help you end your life.

olive ristorante

After my last post, I continued to have a fun national day. We had a marvelous view of the fireworks; and i got to eat lots of good food and drink some wine (it was yummy).

now, my main point.

on Sunday, my grandfather took my family to the olive ristorante to eat lunch. The food there was excellent. My sister and I shared a lasagna that melted in my mouth. it came surrounded by a delicious cheese sauce. my mom ate a REALLY tender pork chop which was just right, not too tough or dry. Then, we had a basket and the calamari rings were the best I've eaten. It had its own special flavor. Dessert, my sis and i shared a chocolate fondue with marshmallows and strawberries. The sauce was dark chocolate and it was heavenly!! My mouth waters just thinking about it.

Just want to add something. My aunt put Shampoo in my hair and i had to bath again to get it out. So... i had to share 1 bath room with 5 people. My aunts camera spoilt so she says she'll buy another one today. I hope its so or I won't be able to take pictures.
Lucky me! I get to watch the parade from the comfort of a hotel room while others have the brave the weather. People are already choking their spots and the parade won't start for another 4 hours. Poor things.

national day part 1

I am writing from the Oriental hotel in singapore. my aunt rented a room for the day just so we can watch the parade. The hotel lifts are surrounded by water and we were staring at it. One room cost $600 a day!! I went 'O.o' but the room is sugoi(!) so i'll try to see if I can take pitures and post it up. The remote in the room for the TV is controlled by a touch screen and has so many features. when i saw the room i was going "omigosh! SO COOL" and jumping everywhere; acting like a little kid.

I found one of my books. its called Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy. Its really really thick even by my standards (it has 817 pages) but the story is really good. the plot reminds me of a chinese drama series (the type on channel 8) with one main plot and a subplot. The story is a love story but is talking about forgiveness and stuff like that cuz its a christian story.

I'm going to go now because I want to see the little boats with a ball on top. They're sailing into the ocean/river (which is it) right now.

I've been really busy. actually didn't have the time to post. so I'll 'talk' in chronological order.

First of, I've been reading this book called "the Jesus i never knew". its a really good book but i have no idea why people say its cheem. Ok, so i do know.... its because no one my age would be caught reading it. but from the book, i've got more books to read. if you have the books (unlikely) lend me ok? the books are: the brothers karamazov by Dostoevesky, books by Leo Tolstoy, J.B. Philips, John milton. if you have one of these movies, (i don't think so) than lend it to me ok? the movies are: Wings of desire; Faraway, so close all by Wim Wenders.

Next would be that i received my magazine with a HUGE picture of a butterfly on it. i'm gonna bring it to school and show Michelle. i realised that my piano teacher also subscribes so she lent me alot of books( i already finished 2) people from 2D will remember how i asked you're to read those little comic books.

now its about Rachel and her 2.4. if you ask me, having to run 8 rounds is torture. poor Rae has to do it twice. but our whole class ran with her in "installments" which helped alot since we didn't let her walk. we were yelling " only X more rounds don't stop!" Rachel passed and i think her score is better than mine.

My trip to Cambodia, which will take place from 2nd to 5th September, is coming along fine. we did quite alot of work today. I can hardly wait.

Oh and some of my CA3 marks are out. I won't say what they are except I'm happy with most of them. (although people from my class should know)

Today was Founders day at MGS. I almost DIED of BOREDOM. Lucky Rachel, having the ability to sleep all the way through.
The funniest part of the day is the time when we were waiting in the class rooms. the whole class (well almost whole class) was playing with........................ BARBIE DOLLS!!! i never imagined it. this is because Michelle got people to lend her the Barbie dolls so for some reason people were playing with it.
Euphe was reading over my shoulder and she was like "wah... sounds like a report" well, i'm new to this so sorry if i bore you to death. i'm sure I'll get better.... eventually..... one day.... in the future.......

Hi!! today went for CIP at Alexandria hospital (did i get th name right?). it was horrible. I NEVER want to pick up dead leaves again.... or touch dirty soil.
Anyway, i was in the same group as Claudia and Michelle. apparently, they have a phobia of bugs, especially caterpillars and butterflies. it was funny watching them scream every time we said caterpillar, bug,insect or butterfly though.
on a last note, they asked to borrow my sis Barbie dolls to make some kind drama............wonder how it'll turn out. they'll post it on youtube and if its very funny, I'll probably link it here.
